Maybe you’ve noticed. The dogs you meet appear chunkier than they used to be, and many cats seem positively pudgy. It’s not your imagination. Obese dogs and cats don’t live as long as fit dogs and cats. They’re more susceptible to illnesses like arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes and many forms of cancer. The Biggest Loser “Pet” Contest can help your pet jump start healthy habits….and that might even jump start your own healthy habits.

What’s the Biggest Loser Contest all about? It begins Sept. 1 and continues for 13 weeks. Participants will be given an orientation on Monday, August 30th at 7pm, right here at All Creatures. Participates starting after that date, contact the clinic to set up an orientation time. At orientation, various discounted food options will be presented, incentives will be explained, a plan will be created for your pet, and the weigh in will occur. It’s a contest where pets come in twice a month for a simple weight check. Remember to have your punch card checked each weigh in for incentives! Each month, we calculate the percentage of body weight lost – you will receive a body profile print out. The participant with the highest percentage weight lost on December 1st wins!!
